Audio and Video Communications
Using CCTV or audio only, over a network or ISDN, the command software allows audio and video communication between the weighbridge operator and the vehicle driver. This enables the operator both to check the details of the vehicle and to ensure that it is correctly positioned on the weighbridge. Importantly, it also allows the driver to remain in his cab, so reducing the risk of injury and maximising vehicle throughput.
The Command software enables one operator to control weighbridges on a number of sites, so maximising efficiency. This is of particular benefit for sites with low throughput where an on-site operator would not be fully employed.
With video communication the cameras can be set to cover the whole area through which vehicles enter the site. This allows the operator to see if there are any vehicles entering the site but bypassing the weighbridge. This problem, known as ghost loads, is a problem for many customers.
