Software Systems
Shering design and manufacture a range of software and systems that work seamlessly with Shering weighbridges and platform scales to provide an integrated solution for all your weighing needs. This can range from a simple display unit to an unmanned weighbridge with automated or remote control.
The Shering Command system is our modular and almost infinitely flexible solution to provide control of your Shering weighing equipment. By re-configuring and adding components a Shering Command system can evolve with your business needs.
There are three main "packages" available in a Command system:
Command 9000 - Standard Operator Controlled
At its simplest, this consists of a standard PC, running Command software, connected to a Shering display unit. When each vehicle or container is weighed the details are automatically transferred to the PC so there is no risk of input errors, such as transposing digits. The operator only has to confirm the details, the system prints a ticket and stores all the information for future reference. This is all achieved using the Manned Operation Module, controlled by the Management Module.
Other modules which can be used within Command 9000 are:
- Report Generator
- Axle Weighing
- Financial
- Skip & Bin Management
- POS & Merchant Sales
- Public Weighing
- Site Communications
Command Centre - Remote
This adds to the functionality of Command 9000, by providing the facility for the operator to be physically remote from the weighing equipment, the main additions being audio and video communication.
Remote operation may be further enhanced with:
Command Centre - Unmanned
An unmanned weighbridge may have a remote operator for dealing with any problems, using the same audio and video communication as in Command Centre - Remote, but in normal operation it must be entirely self-contained and be able to support the following legal requirements:
- The vehicle must be identifiable
- Ensure that the vehicle is wholly on the weighbridge
- The driver must be able to see a display of the vehicle weight
- A tally record of all weighing must be made
- The driver must receive a weight record ticket
- The indicator must automatically reset to zero before each weighing
All Shering unmanned weighbridge systems satisfy these requirements, with several possible solutions to suit individual requirements:
