Shering Weighbridge Instrumentation
For any weighing equipment, the instrumentation consists of two main parts:
One or more load cells within the scale or weighbridge. These are the sensors that measure the load, sending the information electronically to a customer interface for display and further action.
Customer Interface. At a basic level this can simply be a display unit, possibly connected to a printer for producing tickets. Shering have designed and offer several levels of customer interface under the Command brand name.

Shering Command Series
Model 940

The Command 940 is a sophisticated digital weight indicator designed to cope with the middle ground between basic requirements, Command 930, and a full computerised system, Command 9000. The large 20mm back-lit LCD display allows vehicle details to be entered via the alpha/numeric keypad along with product names.
This allows on-screen totals for either vehicles or products to be displayed at any time.
Command 940 also provides sophisticated batch weighing functionality where target weights can be entered and secondary plant can be controlled. This functionality is provided via an additional expansion card with four connection points for controlling the loading of ancillary plant equipment.
In the event of power failures the built-in memory facility stores details of the vehicles, weights, tares and totals so critical data is not lost. See Comparison Chart of Features at the base of this page.
