Approved for Self-Verification
Generally, all weighing equipment in trade use must be tested and stamped by a Trading Standards Officer. This must be done on installation or following repair, failing which the owner and operator of the weighing equipment will be liable to prosecution. As well as a fine of up to £5000 plus costs, any prosecution will inevitably tarnish the reputation of those convicted.
As our weighing equipment has been approved to the latest EU standards, and because we have the ISO9001 quality standard we are approved to carry out self-verification of our own weighing machines. This means that you do not incur the delays and higher costs of bringing in a Trading Standards Officer.
At Shering we operate our own test-weight vehicles using NWML approved test weights.
