Tiger Surface or Pit Mounted
The Tiger is from our "Gold Range" and has the unique qualities of exactly the same weighbridge being used either surface or pit mounted. The strength of the Tiger comes from it being constructed with four main longitudinal beams, so enabling us to restrict its height to only 340mm but still providing exceptional strength and rigidity. With such a low profile it can be mounted in a very shallow pit, so minimising your costs in preparing foundations.
With the Shering IDE Restraint Post System, lateral movement in any direction is restricted, to an industry unique 1mm, so allowing vehicles to SAFELY drive onto the weighbridge at an angle. This is a feature particularly valuable on sites where space is a problem and offers maximum protection for your investment. Customers who wish to ensure vehicles drive straight onto the weighbridge can opt for the Tiger with a fitted vehicle guidance system along the full length of the weighbridge. For surface mounted weighbridges this is essential as a safety feature and for unmanned weighbridges it can be a legal requirement to ensure the vehicle is wholly on the weighbridge and demand usage of vehicle positioning systems.
The Tiger is available in a standard range of sizes and capacities, as shown here, including a High Profile version, this being suitable for sites where there may be a build up of material and debris. Typically this includes aggregate and landfill sites. The High Profile version is 205mm higher than the normal Low Profile Tiger and this is achieved by mounting the load cells on the main beams of the weighbridge.
