Vehicle Position Verification
Depending on the installation and some regulations it may be advisable to use a mechanical or electrical method to confirm the position of a vehicle whilst on the weighbridge.
Side positioning
Our Shering 9020 and Bronze weighbridges have high side beams along their full length and so correct side positioning is guaranteed. Alternatively, other surface mounted models such as our Tiger weighbridge have full length guides fixed onto the top edge of the weighbridge platform.
Pit mounted weighbridges can either have side guides like the Tiger, motorway style crash barriers or use infrared beams. The infrared solution is particularly helpful in situations where vehicles are likely to drive onto the weighbridge at an angle.
End positioning
For end positioning the options are either infrared beams to confirm when the whole vehicle is on the weighbridge, or traffic barriers in the form of traffic lights or automatic barriers, the latter forming part of your site's traffic management system.
